Main valve (2 spool)
single valve hydraulic bottom (not shown)
Cylinders (2x6)
Switch (230 volt - 30 amp)
Pressure gauge
Pressure relief cartridge
1/4" Drive in grease fittings (8 total):
1 at bottom of each head gate (4)
4 along main pivot bar (4)
Warranty:
Materials and workmanship are warranted for one year.
Motor carries the manufacturer's warranty for one year.
Hydraulic components are warranted for one year.
Installation:
Each chute has a head gate at both ends. When positioning your chute, simply swap the head gate extension to reverse. To anchor the chute to the ground, either bolt it down to concrete, chain it, or weld it to the alley.
All chutes are wired for 230 volts (high voltage) into the switch. If 230 volts is unavailable you will need to rewire the motor to 115 volts (low voltage). All wiring should be done by a qualified electrician according to motor manufacturer's recommendations.
Motor specs:
We use a five horse motor 230 volt standard. Three horse dual voltage can be furnished on request.

To run a chute off a portable generator, check with a qualified electrician or generator manufacturer to make sure generator supplies sufficient power to start and maintain amperage requirements.
Operation: Valve Pressure
All chutes have pressure relief built into the valve. To check the pressure you will need to pull down one handle on the valve until the pressure builds on the gage. When the pressure by-passes, the gage will show the pressure. On the lower left hand corner of the valve is a relief cartridge. To change the pressure remove the outer cap, then loosen the inner nut. Use a screwdriver to raise pressure by screwing in, or to lower pressure by screwing out.
Pressure should be set to match the size of the animal.
Calves will use a lower pressure (400-450 psi).
Bulls will need a higher pressure (550-600 psi).
If there is a question regarding pressure, always set pressure low and work up.
Maintenance:
Your TaskMaster Chute has eight grease fittings:
one at the bottom of each head gate;
four on the main pivot bar in the center of the chute.
The grease fittings should be greased after every 10 hours of operation.
All chutes have a ten gallon pump. We recommend using a Traco-Rozep 5 x 20 hydraulic oil. The oil and filter should be change once each year. (Less often depending on use.)
Bolts should be tightened or replaced as normal wear occurs.
